How did you and your partner meet?:
We met through mutual friends at a bible study. As time went on, we grew to become close friends. On the summer before my first semester in college and his sophomore year he asked me to be his girlfriend :)
Describe the moment you knew they were The One.:
The moment I knew he was the one, was probably after year 1. After our first anniversary I couldn’t wait for our 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Then I thought about the 50th anniversary, and how to even think about that in our first year together meant I couldn’t wait to spend every one with him.
Can you share the details of the proposal? :
On December 25th, 2025 Austin and I spent our 3rd Christmas together. Just the two of us, as our family spent it back home in Texas. He gave me one last present, in it, a fake engagement box! Laughing, he pulled out the real box and proposed.
How did you celebrate after the engagement?:
We called all of our family and spent the rest of the day reminiscing about life.
Do you have any advice or tips for others planning a proposal?:
As the recipient I’d definitely say trust your partner. They know what they are doing.
