Burning Love at Burning Man: Tim & Dani

How did you and your partner meet?:
Freshman year of college in 2008, playing Frisbee in the courtyard between classes. A tale as old as time.

Describe the moment you knew they were The One.:
There wasn't an explicit moment, but as the years together went on, our love grew and lives became more intertwined until neither of us could imagine life without the other.

Can you share the details of the proposal? :
Burning Man 2022, while the sun rose over the playa. He threw me off the scent by taking a ton of pictures during the week, so when he wanted to bike across the playa to watch the sunrise over the mountains for a photo, I didn't think twice about it!

How did you celebrate after the engagement?:
We had the back half of Burning Man to enjoy, and then a few days booked in Lake Tahoe before going back to the real world. We even got a complimentary room upgrade!

Do you have any advice or tips for others planning a proposal?:
Make sure the moment is special and unique to you as a couple. And get photos!

Could you share your experience with selecting and purchasing your engagement ring from Point No Point Studio? :
By the time we got engaged we were already together for fourteen years. During that time, Tim would speak to me about vision of ring that symbolized our relationship and how he wanted a custom ring made when the time came. Well when the time finally came, he realized that this vision may not work as a physical object. So it was decided that it was best left as an idea, and that we would find a ring worthy of its place, together. We sought after something unconventional yet elegant. Nothing was meeting expectations until PNP, where rings brought a balance of uniqueness and sophistication—and together we chose the perfect stack!

What was the most memorable part of your wedding?:
I loved that our wedding was very much us cranked up to eleven..the whole vibe from the decor and flowers and small details were so whimsical and romantic. We also made sure to keep it fun and funky. I walked down the aisle to violins playing the outro of Adventure Time, which was very special to us. We also had a fun and silly (or maybe dorky) choreographed first dance that ushered in a night of grooving on the dance floor, with a saxophone accompanist  that was really the cherry on top!
