How did you and your partner meet?
We served in the US Navy together. Seven years ago we met while stationed in Seal Beach, California. What began as a close friendship eventually blossomed into the six-year relationship we share today!
Describe the moment you knew they were The One.
There wasn’t a single moment that made me realize Aj was the one—it’s been a series of moments, over and over, that have shown me he’s the person I want to grow old with and build a lasting bond. I believe that's what truly reveals if someone is "the one"; when both of you continue putting in the effort because you know that, even when we're old and gray, we'll still be there for each other, helping one another cross the street.
Can you share the details of the proposal?
On October 3rd, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada. The day began with a bike ride around Stanley Park. After hours of biking, we stopped for a picnic by Beaver Lake. That’s when Aj pulled out a PNP ring and asked, “will you marry me.” I felt pure happiness. How did you celebrate after the engagement?: A concert at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. We saw one of our favorite indie artists, Goth Babe. We sang and danced while my PNP ring shined in the air.
Do you have any advice or tips for others planning a proposal?
Listen to what each partner envisions for their proposal. Whether it’s in the cozy comfort of their living room or while skydiving over Mount Everest, listen and you’ll feel the pure happiness I did.
Could you share your experience with selecting and purchasing your engagement ring from Point No Point Studio?
We visited the La Jolla studio together, where I had the chance to try on a variety of beautiful rings. Alison helped me narrow down the style, color, setting, and diamond I preferred.
