Tell us your love story — how did you meet, when did you know they were the one? :
It all started on a two week work trip in Las Vegas, NV. We met, had an immediate connection, but neither of us knew if there was a way to continue exploring our relationship since Brandon was in the Army stationed in TN and I was in the Navy stationed in WA. Soon after the trip ended, Brandon surprised me by driving six hours to see me and a week later flying across the country to spend the holidays exploring the mountains and the possibility of making long distance work. After spending a week in Washington together, we both knew it was something really special and were committed to seeing where this relationship would take us, regardless of the distance. We spent the next nine months flying back and forth across the country to spend every opportunity possible with each other. We relied on FaceTiming and countless red eye flights to bridge the distance and after six months we both knew we wanted the rest spend our lives with each other.

Do you have any advice or tips for others planning a proposal?:
Make sure to consider your dog sniffing out your future wife’s best friend who’s hiding in the bushes to take pictures. Don’t stress about it being perfect or having to adjust your plan, remember that it’s about sharing how much you love each other and being excited to spend the rest of your lives together.

Why did you choose a PNPS ring? What stood out to you?:
I have always loved salt and pepper diamonds. We were initially drawn to PNPS because of the incredibly beautiful rings and diamonds. After learning about the studio, we realized PNPS studio honored the same ethical code as us; respecting the earth, enjoying the outdoors, and deep ties to the PNW. We couldn’t be happier to have designed a ring as unique and special as our love.

What has been the most memorable part of your engagement/wedding?:
The most memorable part was how much thought Brandon put into the proposal weekend. Since we are long distance, the time we have is limited, but even with a small amount of time he has made me feel the most special I have ever felt in my whole life. He had all of best friends fly out and surprise me. Talking about what we want in the wedding and how much we have to look forward to is amazing. Neither of us have ever felt more at home or happier in our lives.
