A Love Story Sparked in Asia and Sealed in Sedona: Lara & Quy

How did you and your partner meet?
He was my older brother's friend. We have known each other since I was in Jr. High but we didn't pursue each other until I was in college.

Describe the moment you knew they were The One:
We were on the tail-end of a month long backpacking trip in Asia. Our flight home had an overnight layover in France. He had asked me to book a room near the Eifel Tower. I had no clue what I was doing and booked one way too far away. We were both exhausted. He was frustrated and he told me to give him a second. He took his space, made a plan and fixed my mistake. It was that moment I knew I could spend the rest of my life with this man who was/is so patient, kind, and understanding. We hadn't even officially started dating but after a month together in foreign countries, I knew there was no one else I would want to travel with or do life with.

Can you share the details of the proposal?
He proposed on a hike (devil's Bridge) in Sedona, Arizona on November 25th, 2024. I was anxious because I somewhat expected it but it was perfect and absolute magic. I cried and squealed.

How did you celebrate after the engagement?
We went to breakfast and then wine tasting in our favorite little downtown in Cottonwood, Az.

Do you have any advice or tips for others planning a proposal?
Surprise your partner but also let them be somewhat prepared. pictures. so many pictures. prepare a speech and write it down. His was in his head and he got so nervous he didn't say anything he planned.

Could you share your experience with selecting and purchasing your engagement ring from Point No Point Studio?
Our experience with PNPS was amazing from start to finish. They worked with us every step of the way to make sure our vision came to life. My ring is so perfect. I get the constant compliment: It is so you. It just looks like you. It makes me melt every time. The ring is gorgeous but unique. It matches me in a way I can't describe. Being able to go in person and examine the loose stones really let us create our dream ring. My fiancé commented that the blue sapphire reminded him of my eyes. That was it. My heart fluttered and we knew it was the one.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding?:
We are eloping in Scotland in September of this year! We are so excited and can't wait. We're shopping for his wedding band with PNPS soon!
