How did you and your partner meet?

Describe the moment you knew they were The One.
Seems silly, but I knew he was the one after a certain date night. We were doing long distance and had met for dinner at a restaurant between our two towns. After, we both needed gas. As I was about to pull away from the pump, I saw David jogging up to my car window. Without thinking, I grabbed my hand sanitizer and held it out the window. He stopped short out of shock. I had predicted his need without skipping a beat or even realizing what I was doing. It was then that I realized I wouldn’t mind doing that for him for the rest of our lives.
Can you share the details of the proposal?
David proposed to me on the rooftop of London House in Chicago, IL. He planned it 100% by himself and he nailed everything. How did you celebrate after the engagement?: David had arranged for friends from multiple states to be waiting at our apartment after the proposal for a party.
Do you have any advice or tips for others planning a proposal?
Whoever is proposing: make sure you have picture/video takers. I have a terrible memory (which David knows) so he made sure the experience was captured entirely for me.
Could you share your experience with selecting and purchasing your engagement ring from Point No Point Studio?
I found Point No Point Studio a while back and knew I’d always wanted one of their unique designs. I showed David a ring and said “I’d love something like this” so he just bought that exact ring. Smart guy.
What was the most memorable part of your wedding?
David and I were going to elope, but that made my mom a little sad, so I told her she was welcome to plan something small. My mother planned my entire wedding. I just picked out a dress and showed up. It was the most fun AND relaxing day of my life. I wasn’t stressed so I was able to remember each moment and enjoy my wedding.
